During the ho-ho-holidays, don’t forget to keep a lid on the extra amounts of trash.
If you remember to cover or close the lids on trash and recycling bins, you’ll prevent trash from littering our streets. Much of that litter ends up in storm drains, where it gets carried into local waterways such as the San Diego River .
On average, each person in the United States generates more than four pounds of trash per day. We can make the world a better place if we remember these words: reduce, reuse, recycle.
