The Santana High School girls’ softball team yesterday captured the Santee City Championship for the second consecutive year by a score of 3-1 over rival West Hills High School.

Santana was led by pitcher Amber Schisler, who allowed only one run and had three runs batted in (RBIs), including a game winning two-run single.

Santana, which has a 7-2 record, is currently ranked 5th in the county by the UT San Diego in girls’ softball. The paper ranks West Hills, which has a 4-6 record, in the top 20.
The game was played before a crowd of more than 100 at Sportsplex USA Santee at Town Center Community Park.
